Attorney Nesmith Files Class Action Suit Against Lyft

Attorney Roosevelt Nesmith filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court in New Jersey, claiming that the ride-share company, Lyft, failed to pay minimum wage, did not pay overtime, and did not reimburse business expenses for their drivers.  It was filed on behalf of Renier Gonzalez, a Jersey City resident that has worked for Lyft since 2017. Attorney Newmith argues that Lyft’s business model boosts its profits by not paying the legally required wages to their drivers.
